My research interests involve rehabilition and assistive technologies for the augmentation and restoration of human mobility.

Biography

I was born and raised around Hamilton, NY, where I learned (very early on) to appreciate the heat of the summer days before the cold of the winter set in. During the summer months I would help my father with his carpetry, plumbing, and electrical projects. In the winter months I would occupy myself with music, acting, and FIRST Robotics. I graduated from Norwich High School and moved on to my undergraduate career of Mechanical Engineering at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY (MUCH further north, where the true cold weather of the mythical New York State 'North Country' resides). My research at Clarkson involved the tribology of cervine bones, which led me further into the biomedical field. Georgia Tech offered me the best possible combination of engineering, robotics, and relatively warm year-round weather that I could find from a graduate school. I anticipate that the BioE program will suit my interests perfectly as the years go on, and I couldn't be more excited for it!
