I graduated from the University of Akron in May 2015 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. I am from Chattanooga, Tennessee and am glad to be back in the South.
Thesis Project Description
Using a developed microfluidic cerebromicrovascular model that demonstrates a differential Blood Brain Barrier integrity phenotype in response to amyloid beta and evaluate the influence of a cytokine profile observed in human postmortem Alzheimer's Disease tissues on vascular integrity and function in the microfluidic Alzheimer's model.
